Position is responsible for providing engineering expertise for complex multi-service networking. The network engineer is responsible for engineering and supporting the network design, deployment and operations.

Installation, upgrade and maintenance of network routing and switching hardware and software; VoIP communications and IP-based telephony systems; wireless networking infrastructure and management software; video surveillance equipment; firewall, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, and other security-related systems. Accountable for performing day-to-day system administrative functions in an efficient manner. Compliance with established network configuration standards and best practices. Provide management with understandable and actionable information regarding networking assets.

Job Responsibilities

Provides technical analysis in data center network planning, engineering, and design.
Provides analysis for implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to network problems.
Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexes, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
Coordinates third-party maintenance for network equipment and troubleshoots problems with department users and department network administrators.

Qualifications

Diploma/ Degree in IT-related discipline
3 – 5 years of hands-on experience
Experienced in implementing and administrating network devices such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls.
Experienced in implementing and administrating network routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP & network Security.
Experience implementing and administrating common TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, TFTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.

Other Benefits

Possess good analytical and trouble-shooting skills in the area of technical fault isolation and rectification
