Job Description

Aira are looking to recruit an apprentice to join their experienced team of technicians. An Refrigeration Technician is a trained specialist involved in the planning, installation and maintenance of refrigeration and space cooling equipment.

A refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician are a specialist occupation involved in planning, preparing and safely carrying out work activities on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems in a wide variety of locations. Once qualified a competent technician will work without any immediate supervision and liaises effectively with other trades and end users.

Job Responsibilities

Learning and mastering the installation of systems.
Assisting with the servicing, maintenance and installation of Air Conditioning systems.
Positioning and fixing pipework.
Testing and fault-finding.
Monitoring performance to ensure systems are maintained to provide maximum performance and efficiency.
Interact with a wide range of people including with team colleagues, clients and suppliers.

Qualifications

Maths and English Language GCSE grades A-C 9/4 and above (or equivalent qualification).
Level 3 Award in Automotive Refrigerant Handling (EC842-2006).
Jaguar Land Rover specific certifications.
2 x Apprenticeship Completion Certificates (at L2 & L3).
Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.
Be punctual, hardworking and motivated.
