Job Description

Aira are excited to offer a new position within our company and we are on the search for a Trainee Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer. This would be an exciting opportunity for someone who would enjoy variation and challenges during their working day. We work within 50 miles from our base at Innsworth Technology Park, Gloucester, with customers ranging from café’s, restaurants and hotels, to prestigious country homes.

This role provides the necessary specialist engineering support to existing Contracts where the assets vary from Catering/ Laboratory/ Drugs Refrigeration cabinets, Cold-rooms and Air-conditioning systems. This is a full-time permanent position where the salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the servicing, maintenance and installation of Air Conditioning systems
  • Checking stock levels
  • Ensure all record keeping functions are completed in real time on the PDA.
  • When requested, be available for emergency call-outs as per call out rota
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of workmanship and safety
  • Carry out all PPM tasks in accordance with the annual PPM Planner, and notify any repairs as necessary

Qualifications

  • Educated in Maths and English at GCSE Level minimum.
  • MUST HAVE a keen willingness to learn new skills and learn on the job.
  • Be punctual, hardworking and motivated.
  • Be clean and presentable at all times.
  • MUST Work well in a team and be a team player.
  • Be fit and healthy as heavy manual work plays an integral part in day to day tasks.
